I became seriously interested in photography in 2003 and I'm currently living in Estonia, where most of my photographs were made. But my aim here was to try to tell something about photography.

First I want to thank all of You for visiting my page! Because what's the use of creating something for no one, except myself. That's why I'm very glad for every single visit, especially if it gave something to You. I always thought that photography, as well as art in general must have more exalted aim than being just a subject of aesthetic pleasure or just something for satisfying human curiosity. I believe that art must have an influence upon human consciousness, change it for the better.

Photography is a meditative process. You have a moment to think of something more deep and exalted than everyday bustle. One should ask oneself such a questions, and this atmosphere suits it.

Nature has such an influence upon me. In the face of it's might and beauty you are small and insignificant, you understand that this world is not spinning around you, it's not made by us and we are here just strangers trying to steal and destroy what is not ours. Nature's beauty and harmony reminds of divine origin of our world.

It might seem harder to find this beauty and harmony in man-made urban landscape, but it is there also. Although city is always sad and people miserably exist in this place of despair, but here like nowhere else you strive for answers to those same questions about who we are and why we are?
